Opera for All: Free Tickets for Eligible New Yorkers
Every New Yorker should have the opportunity to experience the Metropolitan Opera, regardless of income or background. The Met is not just a globally recognized cultural icon; it is also New York’s opera house, an essential institution that truly belongs to the city’s residents.
In an exciting new partnership with the NYC Mayor’s Office, the Met will distribute 70,000 of its tickets each season to eligible New Yorkers—free of charge—via a lottery on the Met Opera app, as well as through various distribution methods with organizations across the city.
