Met Students Ambassadors

About

The Met Students Ambassador program serves as the Met’s volunteer student think-tank for publicizing new initiatives, offers, and discounts; devising promotional strategy on local campuses; and planning exclusive events for Met Students members. In addition to gaining exclusive access to Met staff, creatives, and artists—as well as free admission to select ticketed events—Ambassadors will have the following responsibilities:

  • Organizing and staffing Met Students registration tables on your campus
  • Publicizing Met Students events and discounts through email, social media, and on-campus marketing
  • Helping plan and promote Met Students events, including pre-performance parties
  • Attending regular meetings with fellow Ambassadors at the Met (either in person or virtually)

The Ambassador program comprises undergraduate and graduate students from colleges and universities in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. Over the past several seasons, Ambassadors have spearheaded a range of events and initiatives, including: class trips to the Met archives; backstage tours; career panels; conversations with Met music staff; meet-and-greets with principal artists; on-campus recitals featuring performers from the Lindemann Young Artist Development Program; lectures and social mixers at the Met; and new extracurricular groups to fund to student trips to the Met.
